I’ve Been a Consciousness Explorer for as Long as I Can Remember

For as long as I can remember, I have been curious about the bigger questions.

Who are we beyond our physical bodies?

What is consciousness?

What exists beyond what we can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell?

Are we capable of perceiving more than we realize?

And what becomes possible when we begin exploring beyond the boundaries of our everyday awareness?

That curiosity has been a thread running throughout my entire life.

It was one of the things that ultimately led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and spend nearly three decades exploring a system of medicine based on the understanding that there is much more happening within and around us than what we perceive through our five physical senses.

Over the years, my curiosity has taken me into meditation, spirituality, energy, intuition, human potential, mind-body medicine and the exploration of consciousness itself.

And the more I explore, the more curious I become.

My Journey to The Monroe Institute

More recently, my exploration led me to The Monroe Institute, an organization devoted to the exploration of human consciousness and expanded states of awareness.

Founded by Robert A. Monroe, The Monroe Institute has spent decades developing experiential approaches and audio technologies designed to help people explore states of consciousness beyond ordinary waking awareness.

After participating in Monroe programs myself, I knew I wanted to go deeper—and eventually to help bring these experiences to others.

I am now a Certified Monroe Institute Outreach Trainer, which allows me to facilitate official Monroe Institute regional programs and introduce others to Monroe’s approach to consciousness exploration.

And I’m excited to announce my next live program:

Exploring Consciousness Workshop

Exploring Consciousness is an official Monroe Institute program and is based on the first two days of the Institute’s renowned five-day Gateway Voyage® program.

If you’ve been curious about the Monroe Institute, the Gateway experience, Hemi-Sync®, altered states of consciousness, or simply what you may discover by exploring your own awareness, this intimate two-day experience is an opportunity to explore it for yourself.

What Is Exploring Consciousness?

What if you could quiet the physical senses and begin exploring other states of awareness?

Exploring Consciousness is an experiential two-day workshop conducted by Certified Monroe Institute Outreach Trainers.

It gives you the opportunity to experience foundational exercises from the first two days of the famous Gateway Voyage®—without traveling to the Monroe Institute campus for the full residential program.

This isn’t about asking you to adopt a particular belief system.

It’s about experience.

Through guided exercises and Monroe audio technology, including Hemi-Sync®, you’ll have opportunities to enter deeply relaxed and expanded states of awareness and explore what those experiences mean to you.

What Will We Explore?

During the two-day workshop, you will have opportunities to:

  • Experience deeply relaxed and expanded states of awareness
  • Explore states Monroe identifies as Focus 10 and Focus 12
  • Learn foundational techniques for accessing expanded states of consciousness
  • Experience Monroe’s binaural-beat hemispheric synchronization exercises
  • Explore awareness beyond ordinary physical sensory perception
  • Learn techniques designed to release limiting patterns and access inner guidance
  • Experiment with techniques related to nonphysical or out-of-body exploration
  • Learn practical consciousness tools you can continue using in everyday life
  • Connect with other curious, open-minded people interested in consciousness and human potential

Monroe describes the program as offering participants tools for accessing expanded states, exploring inner resources, and developing greater self-empowerment. The program includes 26 practical consciousness tools intended for continued use beyond the workshop.

You Don’t Have to Believe. Come Explore.

One of the things I appreciate most about this work is that you don’t have to arrive with a particular set of beliefs.

You can be spiritual.

You can be scientific.

You can be skeptical.

You can simply be curious.

Come with an open mind and experience it for yourself.

My role isn’t to tell you what consciousness is or what you should believe about the nature of reality.

My role is to create a welcoming environment, introduce you to the tools and techniques, guide you through the experiences, and invite you to become the explorer.

Because ultimately, consciousness is something we can talk about endlessly.

But there comes a point when you may want to experience it for yourself.
